The Station Manager Cargo is responsible for the overall leadership and management of all cargo-related operations at Oslo Gardermoen Airport. This includes oversight of warehouse, office, and airside cargo functions. The role requires a strategic and operationally strong leader with a proven track record in complex logistics environments.
Today, we provide time-critical logistics services at over 250 locations across 58 countries. At Oslo Gardermoen Airport, we are a key player in air cargo operations and are now seeking an experienced leader to manage and grow our cargo business.

Main Accountabilities
- Lead, plan, and organize all cargo-related operations at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, including warehouse, office, and airside functions, ensuring efficiency, safety, and full compliance with national regulations and international aviation standards.
- Ensure all procedures are aligned with Menzies' Health & Safety Policy Manual and global aviation safety requirements.
- Take full ownership of the cargo division's budget and P&L, including financial performance, cost control, and resource management.
- Provide clear leadership to the Cargo Management Team, including coaching, developing, and motivating leaders and staff to foster a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure service delivery meets customer SLAs and internal KPIs, while driving operational excellence and process improvements.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to maximize revenue and operational potential.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with airline clients, regulatory authorities, vendors, unions, and internal stakeholders.
- Represent the company in dealings with airport authorities, customs, immigration, police, security, handling agents, and other key stakeholders.
- Support employee relations efforts, including liaison with employee and union representatives when needed.
- Monitor performance and take corrective actions where necessary, including preparing reports and service performance metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in air cargo or logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within a complex operational environment.
- Extensive general management experience, including leadership of large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven track record in achieving financial targets, managing P&L, meeting service KPIs, and driving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, including customs, aviation security, occupational health standards, and the Norwegian Working Environment Act (AML).
- Broad experience in aviation services, ideally including ramp handling, cargo, passenger services, and aircraft presentation.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills, with experience engaging with airline representatives, airport authorities, government bodies, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop leadership teams, support succession planning, and lead change in response to business demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiar with operational management systems.
- Solid understanding of ramp GSE and good working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and adapting to local station conditions.
