The role
As our Specification Manager you will focus on our upstream stakeholders, specifiers and decision makers. Your purpose in this role is to secure the specified use of our products through a solution and value-added approach.
Your focus will be placed on the technical concepts and solution selling to our upstream stakeholders to secure the specification through to order placement. You make sure our services are leveraged and our solutions get specified, ordered and used in the construction process. Key to success in this role is sound pipeline management with an upstream consultative selling approach to projects/opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • You bring positive engagement towards our Health and Safety following all guidelines.
  • You are responsible for achieving profitable sales growth of the business through development and execution of go to market strategy which is embedded into our strategy.
  • You are accountable for your own specification pipeline and subsequent sales results.
  • You become a trusted advisor and partner for investors, developers, specifiers, architects and partners engaging earlier in the project value chain to shape client vision in the market, display thought leadership, promote the integrated solutions and support customers through the design phase of their projects.
  • You play a key role in executing our Country Win Plan, translating it into account development plans and commercial action projects at target customer segments.
  • You proactively seek and realise new business opportunities.
  • You plan and work according to our CRM "SAMBA" Sales Excellence methodology and apply the relevant tools in the different phases.
  • You are responsible for building up a solid project pipeline.
  • You share key insights for both short- and long-term commercial opportunities and challenges.
  • You collaborate with our Product Management and Design & Engineering teams to build up the required technical competency.
  • You proactively support colleagues of other relevant product categories in their sales process to enable cross-sales with other business segments.
  • You conduct all activities compliant to legal, regulatory and company requirements.


Profile:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or science relevant to one or more solution areas.
  • You bring several years' experience in technical value-added solution selling in a corporate sales environment - current active selling experience is a must or relevant commercial experience in the building products and construction industry.
  • You are an experienced technical professional e.g. from engineering consultancies, architecture firms, or end-client's engineering teams.
  • You have experience of working on major commercial projects as a strategic supplier.
  • You have a proven track-record of projects sales and understanding full project scopes.
  • You have strong commercial excellence skills.
  • You have knowledge of the market opportunities and challenges.
  • You are a strong teamplayer, motivator and excellent communicator. Must be able to communicate effectively and engage people at all levels both internally and externally to the business.
  • You have a high level problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
  • You have the ability to positively influence peers commercially and cross functionally.
  • You are fluent in English and Norwegian.
