Join Santander Consumer Bank Nordics as a Senior Auto Analyst and play a key role in shaping data-driven decisions across our Auto and Leisure business areas within the bank.

As part of our Auto Analytics team within the Commercial Data and Analytics department, you will be the local and Nordic subject matter expert - combining advanced analytical skills with deep auto market understanding. You will build trust in data across the organization, leverage new and existing data sources, and develop models that enhance product, pricing, channel, sales, and customer insights.

In this role, you'll work closely with Commercial management and product owners in the bank to understand business needs, while collaborating cross-functionally with Risk, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure a holistic perspective. A genuine interest in the automotive industry, and a solid grasp of banking profitability drivers will be key to your success.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact - primarily focusing on Norway while contributing to initiatives across the Nordics.

Responsibilities

Commercial Execution
  • Deliver data driven support for efficient decision making
  • Work close with business, auto dealers, importers and other stakeholders to enable performance control and drive improvements based on data and analytics
  • Proactively highlight business opportunities & risks based on data driven insights together with recommended actions
  • Participate in AI and advanced analytics initiatives, such as predictive analysis
  • Provide finance application funnel efficiency insights and inflow performance analysis
  • Portfolio development analytics
  • Deliver analytics and insights related to the auto market, locally and globally

Customer Journey Analytics and optimization
  • Review customer lifecycle management (incl. pricing, acquisition and CRM) through best practice sharing and analysis
  • Support with optimization of our digital channels with the use of data
  • Support with loyalty -and renewal insights


Profitability Optimization
  • Work to optimize customer lifetime value through data driven insights
  • Support forecast & budget processes with data-driven insights
  • Conduct deep dives: customer data, benchmarks and other "non-standard" estimates and assumptions

Data Strategy and reporting
  • Alignment of definitions, reporting and dashboards across functions
  • Ensure data accessibility to relevant stakeholders
  • Work on reduction, standardization and automation of recurring reporting
  • Enable self-service reporting across the business


Skills
  • Business & Market Knowledge: Demonstrating solid understanding of banking P&L, product dynamics, and the auto market
  • Business-oriented mindset: Showing curiosity and knowledge about how data can drive value
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively collaborating and communicating with stakeholders to understand needs and translate data insights into impactful actions.
  • Analytical skills: Possessing strong numerical and analytical abilities, with the capability to identify root causes and propose solutions
  • Beneficial to know Norwegian language

Experience
  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in data and analytics, but aspiring and ambitious professionals with less experience are encouraged to apply
  • Beneficial to have experience from the banking sector and/or working with automotive data
  • Solid experience within one or more of these fields: CRM Analytics & Customer Insights, Reporting, Pricing & Profitability, Portfolio Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with descriptive and predictive analytics
  • Practical experience in SQL, SAS, and Power BI
