As we prepare for commercial production we have a new position open for a Process Quality Engineer to work within the Process Quality Inspection team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and execute Process Control Plans, as well as analyse and validate results to drive continuous improvement in our in-process quality.

The ideal candidate is analytical and logical using data driven approaches, i.e. six sigma and statistical methodologies, to ensure excellent quality, performance and safety of Morrow's battery cells.

Key responsibilities:
  • Design and develop process control plans based on process flow diagrams and PFMEAs in accordance with product and customer-specific requirements.
  • Conduct process control activities using various testing equipment across different manufacturing processes, structure them into comprehensive process control reports.
  • Continuously monitor production operations, perform process and product audits, and contribute to continuous improvement activities in production processes.
  • Analyze statistical process control performance metrics such as Cpk, Cmk, and Ppk, and document findings clearly and systematically.
  • Lead problem-solving activities related to deviations and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement appropriate improvement solutions.
  • Continuously improve procedures based on acquired experience, relevant knowledge, and updates.
  • Lead trouble shooting and root cause analysis activities in relation to deviations and quality issues in the production process, e.g., 8D and non-conformity investigations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer quality engineers to deliver required input to customer projects, e.g. PPAP documentation.

Education / Experience
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Process quality experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • Knowledge about quality tools and methods, including Control Plan, SPC, FMEA, technical drawings and special characteristics.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, 5 why, issue tree etc.
  • Experience in testing equipment and data analysis tools
  • Continuous improvement mindset and risk-based thinking
  • Process auditor and Internal auditor certification for ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 is an advantage
  • Experience in developing processes, standards, procedures and documentation in an efficient way to ensure high quality products to meet customer requirements.

  • Ability to handle high workloads and manage several projects at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach to solving problems and challenges.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Fluency in English
