The Edge Hotelis looking forExtra help staff to assist the Meeting & Events department with support when needed.

What you'll do:

• You are expected to be a support position for the conference department and its daily challenges, as well as help out other departments in the hotel when needed.
• You will focus your energy on learning as much of the routines and room setups as fast as possible. We offer on the job training thanks to our ever active workload and year round business, and you will work with an experienced team member until we feel your skills and confidence is at the level needed to fly solo.
• This is a very physical position due to the various room configurations for all the different events. You are expected to comfortably pickup and carry furniture, weighing up to 25kg at random times and on multiple occasions.
• There is some tasks that will involve outside work for short periods of time, like taking deliveries or helping conference guests with their goals.
• Hospitality towards guests and staff is a non-negotiable and a prerequisite. Our guests satisfaction is a top priority for us and they should experience that every time they visit us, for business or pleasure.

This is a temporary position and shifts will be offered on invite from the M&E Manager , with a flexible start date to be agreed upon. The position requires working varied shifts, including weekends, early mornings, afternoons and late evenings. Our shifts are very much event and setup dependent.

You will be evaluated on each shift's performance and it will determine if you receive more shift invites in the future.

English language is mandatory, Norwegian is additional preference.

Bonus points for:

• Technical experience with regards to Audio / Visual equipment and installations, Sound Mixers, and general connectivity support with our Projectors and hotel systems.
• Conference/ Concierge/ Event coordinator / Service desk experience.
