Infrastructure Architect to Schibsted Media

If so, Schibsted Media is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to join our Media IT/Infrastructure Solutions team in Norway!

The Infrastructure Solutions team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the core technology systems that support the organization's operations-like networks, servers, cloud services, and data centers, for Schibsted Media globally.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Architect & Design: Develop high-level and detailed designs for hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Optimize Performance: Analyze and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure Security & Compliance: Align infrastructure with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Automate & Streamline: Implement automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient provisioning and management.
• Plan for the Future: Conduct capacity planning, cost optimization, and technology evaluations to define infrastructure roadmaps.
• Enhance Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup, failover, and high-availability strategies.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with stakeholders across IT, security, and business teams to align infrastructure with Schibsted's strategic goals.
• Troubleshoot & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for critical infrastructure issues.

Key Competencies

• Cloud Expertise - Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
• Networking & Security - Deep understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IAM, and secure network architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Virtualization & Containerization - Familiarity with VMware, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
• Storage & Backup Solutions - Experience with SAN/NAS, cloud storage, and disaster recovery planning.

You have:

• +3 years proven experience working with infrastructure architecture, cloud and on premise
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Fluency in Norwegian or Swedish and English, both oral and written
• Experience working with large enterprise and complex solutions with multiple stakeholders
• Analytical skills and passion for order and structure
• A problem-solving mindset
