Do you want to lead the kitchen team at an amazing hotel that is located in Europe´s tallest wooden building and the second tallest wooden building in the World? 

We have a fantastic kitchen team that works closely together and has been a key part of our strong development. We are now looking for a Head Chef who can lead this team further, continue building on our progress, and contribute creatively with high-quality dishes and menus for our concept “From Forest to Table – Flavors of Norway.”

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a hands-on leader who leads by example.
  • Focuses strongly on a positive work environment and team spirit, while leading the kitchen in a constructive and determined way.
  • Has the drive and desire for development, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Is comfortable working in a dynamic team.
  • Has solid experience as a Head Chef and holds a professional chef certificate.
  • Is structured, flexible, and detail-oriented.
  • Enjoys maintaining order and ensuring high quality.
  • Is willing to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Fluent in English and can understand and read Norwegian.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the kitchen in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Building and leading a strong team in collaboration with the F&B Manager and General Manager.
  • Developing menus with a strong focus on local ingredients.
  • Creating new concepts that strengthen the hotel as a destination.
  • Managing the kitchen’s budget, with attention to labor and food costs.
  • Having overall responsibility for quality control and food safety (HACCP).
  • Supporting recruitment processes for kitchen staff.
  • Handling purchasing in line with the hotel’s agreements.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supervision in the kitchen.
