Are you interested in teaching business in our English-speaking master’s programme in International Business Management? 

Arcada is seeking a full-time lecturer in business with a focus on digitalisation and smart business solutions. We are looking for a colleague with experience from the business world who wants to work with students and contribute to their understanding of the agile and modern business context. 

As a Senior Lecturer in business, you are responsible for teaching at master’s level in an ambitious team with development-oriented colleagues. You will also supervise MA thesis projects. Having proficiency in quantitative research methods is advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and who wants to inspire others. You get energy from working with students and from teamwork. You want to contribute with your own expertise and are willing to share your insights to develop the teaching and the activities together with the whole team.

As a senior lecturer in business you

• are responsible for teaching mainly at Master’s level (in English). In addition, teaching in quantitative methods on BA level can be included.
• participate in the supervision of theses at undergraduate and graduate level.
• contribute actively to pedagogical development work such as programme and curriculum development.
• collaborate with the surrounding society, e.g. our working life contacts.

In addition to teaching, administrative tasks are part of the role. There may also be involvement in development and research projects related to your field of expertise, along with other duties.

You have a PhD in Economics (Business-related field). Previous experience in teaching is an advantage. You have a vocational teaching qualification or are prepared to pursue qualifying studies alongside your job.

You are fluent in English. Good knowledge of Swedish and Finnish is an advantage. As a person, you are a team player, curious and self-motivated.
