Be the Bridge Between Innovation and Execution - Join Us as Commissioning Manager
At Bulk Infrastructure, we don?t just construct advanced infrastructure, we deliver mission-critical environments that power the future. Our projects across Southern Norway are designed to set new benchmarks in reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. As we continue to expand, we?re looking for a Commissioning Manager who can lead the final, most crucial phase of our delivery ensuring everything works exactly as it should, from blueprint to handover.
This is where you come in
We?re seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of precision and purpose. As our new Commissioning Manager, you?ll orchestrate the seamless activation of complex systems and ensure our sites are ready to deliver on day one. Your work will directly impact how quickly, safely, and successfully our projects become operational, and that means you?ll be at the heart of what we do.
Your Mission: Operational Readiness with Impact
As Commissioning Manager, your role is to ensure that every component - mechanical, electrical, security, and control systems - is tested, documented, and fully functional. But more than that, you?ll be a unifying force between engineering, construction, and operations. Your strategic planning and hands-on leadership will turn technical complexity into reliable performance.
Youwill:
- Be responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating the all commissioning activities (levels 1 -5 according to ASHRAE) in our Data Centre projects, from initial planning to energization and hand-over to Operations
- Oversee and participate in all testing activities, ensuring that all systems operate and function according to design in a safe way
- Facilitate collaboration across internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients, acting as a key interface between engineering, construction and later operation
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance documentation through every stage of commissioning
- Drive documentation and handover processes, supporting training and operational readiness
What You Bring - and Why It Matters
We?re looking for someone who combines deep technical know-how with clear leadership. You?ll need to navigate complexity with clarity, and keep the bigger picture in focus even when the details demand your attention.
You will succeed in this role if you have:
- Commissioning lead experience from the datacenter business or Oil and Gas sector
- Good communication skills across all levels - technical teams, management, and clients
- A bachelor?s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- In depth knowledge of construction and installation work
- At least 10 years of experience in complex infrastructure or industrial projects
It?sa plus if you also bring:
- Actual experience leading commissioning in data center environments
- Calmnes and focus in pressurized situations ? being able to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously and deadlines
- Certifications or training in commissioning practices, quality management, or project delivery (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2)
- Familiarity with systems integration and automation environments
We know great candidates don?t all follow the same path. If you believe you can create impact in this role, we?d love to hear from you even if your profile doesn?t match every single point.
Why This Role Is More Than Just a Job
This is your chance to make a measurable difference not only to the success of our projects but to how we build for a smarter, more connected future. In this role, you?ll work across disciplines, influence key milestones, and be part of a team that values technical excellence and human collaboration in equal measure.
