Kaigata 1 Bar AS is a cozy and creative new pub and restaurant concept, offering hearty lunches, homemade baked goods, and vibrant dinners for up to 75 guests. With a buzzing atmosphere, live music, and a full drink selection, we?re building a place where great food and good vibes meet. Now we?re looking for a talented Chef to help bring our kitchen to life this summer!

Your Role as Chef As part of our small, dedicated kitchen team, you?ll play a key role in daily operations?from preparing delicious dishes and contributing to menu development, to ensuring top-notch food quality and supporting special events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Prep & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, speed, and pride.
• Kitchen Support: Assist with food prep, plating, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen space.
• Menu Input: Share ideas and help shape daily specials and seasonal updates to the menu.
• Hygiene & Safety: Follow food safety (IK-mat) procedures and uphold our hygiene standards.
• Teamwork: Support the Head Chef and work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a smooth service.

What We?re Looking For

• Culinary Experience: Prior experience working in a professional kitchen; formal training is a plus, but not required.
• Passion for Food: You enjoy cooking, experimenting with new flavors, and take pride in presentation.
• Reliability: You show up prepared, focused, and ready to work, even during busy shifts.
• Positive Attitude: You work well under pressure, enjoy being part of a team, and are happy to pitch in where needed.
• Food Safety Awareness: You?re familiar with Norwegian hygiene standards (IK-mat) or open to learning.
