In this job, you really get to contribute to Starbucks' success by providing the excellent Starbucks service to all guests. The job consists of creating the famous Starbucks experience for all our guests by providing fast service, high quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable department. You are expected to act in accordance with Starbucks' mission and core values.

A Starbucks Barista…

  • makes coffee and other products of the highest quality, in busy and vibrant surroundings.
  • acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes Starbucks' culture, values and mission, and is able to maintain calm and overview during periods of high volume during unusual events, so that the department always lives up to the expected quality standards.
  • discovers the needs of the guests and the department, by being curious and investigative, and is also able to communicate these needs well with their partners and managers.
  • assists with the training of new partners by showing a positive attitude and by continuously passing on knowledge and encouraging coaching.
  • delivers the excellent guest experience to all by acting with a "guest-always-comes-first" attitude and by achieving good contact with the guest.
  • follows the Starbucks concept's clear operational guidelines and procedures, to ensure a consistently high quality of products and guest experience.
  • always wants to further develop himself and the team around him to improve individual and collective performance.

A Starbucks Shift Manager…

Responsibilities, authority and key tasks:

  • Planning and execution of shifts
  • May be assigned more responsibilities and tasks from the general manager
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Opening and closing of the store
  • Close follow-up and development of employees
  • Contribute to creating good well-being and a good working environment through attitude-creating work

Required Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions and request clarification when needed
